Have Shovel Will Transplant!

Today the weather wasn't so hot so we went to work outside. I am crazy about organization and had to have a plan of attack since there is so much work to be done out there. The plan is one species at a time. Yesterday, was the Monkey Grass bed; today, we went after the irises. I really, really don't like irises but they are green and living and I have a hard time just yanking them out.

I lined my rot iron railing in the yard with the irises that were randomly placed everywhere. We had a difficult time with some of them and I fear that by the time we find the bottom of the big flowerbed we are going to discover a ton of roots and branches from the ivy that will be terribly hard to extract. Ivy is so pretty but I had no idea that it created wood branches and grew so think on the ground.

Dad installed my computer keyboard drawer and I now can type much more comfortably. The house is a disaster but I am too tired to clean....a true sign that this place is becoming home.
