Much Has Happened

Since I last posted an entry, I've have ripped out all the carpet, fake tile and fake hardwood and replaced it all with an Tuscan patio like tile - I think it's really cool. The added bonus is that my allergies have really cleared up. Dad, mom and I, all, at separate points of pulling out the old or putting in the new about collasped. It was one of the hardest jobs we've done.

I also bought really sweet lily sconces to compliment my artwork in the kitchen and mom bought me the FABULOUS lily chandelier that matched. It absolutely makes the dining area!

That was winter, when spring hit I needed to address some water drainage issues. So dad built two brick planters to keep the water away from my foundation. We brought in probably two tons of dirt to level my yard in low spots and probably 3.5 tons of gravel for the back of my yard where nothing will grow due to the excessive quantity of trees cause much shade. From the kitchen, the graveled area kind of looks like a beach.

I am officially Suzie Homemaker! I have planted flowers in all my beds and actually go out an take care of them. Who knew? I like my little rose moss flowers.

Winston's a grown up now and keeping me on my toes.
