Exercises in Futility

The last two nights have been a comedy of errors for one or another of us working. Monday night, Dad had fight and fight trying to change out the dead bolts but in our efforts to save $50 bucks on new one, we used old ones from theirs house that currently weren't being used. That didn't work and we had to buy new anyway. So needless to say Dad got very little done.

The outside doors I have now are not solid core and could be kicked in rather easily. Mom and Dad had priced the doors at Home Depot at lunch on Tuesday and after talking with me, we decided to change them out. After work, Dad and I went to Lowes to buy two new outside doors. They didn't have them. Then we were going to buy a laser straight level thing so Dad could start the project of knocking out the smallest bedroom wall to the living. Lowe's had them for $69 bucks but I had seen them at Sam's in a package that included a Stud Finder, an electronic measuring tape and something else for $79. So, off I go to Sam's to get that.

Last night, I didn't get a single project done that I had planned on. The ceilings still aren't painted and I thought that would have been done on Monday. Arrrgggg....the joys of owning a home.
